HOTEL
Strengths:-
Personal belongings security taken care of by the hotel security. Staff
Your group has little or no duty of care for the fixtures and fittings, save their proper usage.
Generally, the bigger the group, the greater the expense of a hotel stay.
Meals may or may not be included.
Weaknesses:-

If you have very young children in your holiday party group, then our recommendation would be to stay in a rented property.
The outdoor pools in hotels are generally not heated. Where they have a heated pool, it is generally indoors.
Groups are generally broken up in many different rooms, often on different floors of the hotel.
Generally, during a hotel stay, you need to bring ample clothes for the entirety of your stay.
RENTAL Property
Strengths:-

If you have very young children in your holiday party group, then our recommendation would be to stay in a rented property.
Flexibility, you are more in control of your own destiny and the rhythm and pace, at which you would like to spend your days.
No fixed schedule of events and you have complete flexibility around meal and snack timings.
Exclusive access to your own pool. In these COVID times there is less chance of infection and greater hygiene all around. On our recent Rental home in Lanzarote, the outdoor pool was heated to 26 - 28 degrees temperature.
If you rent a big enough house, you can get greater cohesion in the group, because group members have lots of home from home facilities.
If you rent a big enough house, you generally get greater security with a fitted up-to-date alarm system.
It gives the group greater peace of mind and cuts down on property management assistance request times, if a member of your group is a handy person at solving small issues.
Generally, the bigger the group, it is less expensive per person in the group for renting a property.
You need to bring less cloths as you can make use of the washing, drying and ironing facilities.
Weaknesses:-
Personal belongings security taken care of by each individual of your party grouping. You are relying on everyone in your group to be security conscious.
Your group has a much greater individual duty of care for the fixtures and fittings, allied to their proper usage.
You have to acclimatise yourself to the sounds and Rhythms of a different house, to that of your own.
You have to familiarise yourself with the quick fixes and small tweaks that are required in every house.
You have to do your own catering or alternately eat out.
